Country Portal
The MEDI Country Portal is a resource for building and reinforcing the institutions and infrastructure that support music ecosystems. The portal maps UN Member states' music ecosystem policy and economic data. We are proud to now feature 65 countries, including all of Africa and selected countries globally to start. The data sets feature key socioeconomic data, global IP treaty signatory status, national music policies and strategies, and key music IP institutions and organizations.
This portal maps music ecosystem policy and economic data in UN Member states. To start, we present the data and information of 65 countries, including key socioeconomic data, global IP treaty signatory status, national music policies and strategies, and key music IP institutions and organizations.
We hope this portal supports your music ecosystem development with data and evidence to explain how music works, why it matters, and how it is one of the most significant opportunities for all of us, everywhere, to fight extreme poverty.
All countries can be accessed online or through downloadable, country-specific PDFs. We continuously update this portal, and with support, we will keep expanding the number of countries covered in the portal.
