Employment and Cultural and Creative Industries in Djibouti

Djibouti’s cultural and creative industries offer potential for youth employment, especially in crafts, music, and multimedia, amid high unemployment and limited formal sector growth. Challenges include lack of infrastructure, data gaps, and support frameworks. Developing CCIs could generate up to 29,000 jobs, promote economic diversification, social inclusion, and align with UNESCO commitments.
